PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device capable of further reducing rattles while securing smooth operation of a power conversion mechanism. SOLUTION: An electric power steering device 10 is composed of a rack bar 1, an electric motor 40 and a power converting mechanism 20. The power converting mechanism 20 is a ball screw mechanism including a screw groove 21 spirally formed on the rack bar 1, and a ball screw nut 23 fitted thereinto through a ball 22 and rotated by the electric motor 40. In this electric power steering device 10, the front and rear ends of the ball screw nut 23 are made to elastically abut against a screw thread 1a on both sides of the screw groove 21, and separators 2a, 2b, 3a and 3b, as vibration attenuating members sliding against the screw thread 1a by rotation of the ball screw nut 23 are secured thereon.
