PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage drying machine in which garbage is dried in a short period of time by low energy (little electricity expense), garbage can always be continuously charged without waiting for the completion of drying work and a risk caused by a charging metallic material and the centralized heating which are problems of magnetron heating is prevented. SOLUTION: The garbage drying machine is provided with a rotary screw 7 type conveying means 9 arranged in a drying chamber 2 for irradiating garbage with an electromagnetic wave from the magnetron 3 and a crushing means 13 for garbage 10 arranged in the preceding stage of the conveying means, so that the crushed garbage 10 is dried successively while being irradiated with the electromagnetic wave in the drying chamber 2. Since the garbage 10 itself can be heated directly from the inside thereof, the drying time can be shortened, the garbage 10 can always be continuously charged in the garbage drying machine from a charging part 11, the heat efficiency when garbage is dried can be increased and the power consumption can be reduced.
