PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain power control by efficiently using electric power in a whole merchandise sales data processing system. SOLUTION: The merchandise sales data processing system 100 is configured to compare the clock frequency of a CPU of a merchandise sales data processor 200 decided based on the number of users in each arbitrary time zone or a time required for PLU acquisition, with the clock frequency of the CPU of a merchandise sales data processor 200 predetermined for each arbitrary time zone, and to adopt the higher clock frequency to use it as the clock frequency of the CPU of the merchandise sales data processor 200.
