PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a release sheet capable of sufficiently attaining linear contact with a fixing roller or the like and capable of maintaining excellent paper releasing performance for a long period without damaging the fixing roller or the like on the contact part. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the release sheet consisting of a metallic plate for releasing paper from a fixing member of an electrophotographic apparatus, includes: a step for sticking a fluororesin film at least to a portion of the metallic plate, which is brought into contact with or close to the fixing member, through a silicon group adhesive; a step for applying surface processing to the attached surface of the fluororesin film to the metallic plate; and a step for forming a silicon group adhesive layer by cooling the silicon group adhesive after applying a silicon group adhesive solution and heating and drying the solution. The fluororesin film is spread on a smooth plate by turning the surface having the silicon group adhesive layer to the front so as not to be wrinkled, a corner part which is a roller contact part of the metallic plate is arranged on the center part of the fluororesin film and stuck to the surface of the metallic plate so that the corner part becomes a boundary.
