PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sludge dehydration system which can sufficiently concentrate pressurized sewage sludge to supply it to a pressure sludge dehydrator, and remarkably reduce production costs and maintenance costs of a concentration device in comparison with the conventional ones. SOLUTION: An upflow sludge concentration tank 3 filled with a floating filter material 9 made of foamed resin having an apparent specific gravity of 0.1-0.4 and having a plurality of projections is installed upstream of the pressure sludge dehydrator 4, such as a rotary press. After sludge to which a coagulant has been added is concentrated in the sludge concentration tank 3, the sludge is supplied to the pressure sludge dehydrator 4 to be dehydrated. By installing an agitation means 10 in the sludge concentration tank 3, a function as a coagulation mixing tank can be added to the sludge concentration tank 3.
