摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling an intake air amount of internal combustion engine capable of absorbing a collision load when a driven side gear hits full close or full open stopper without the need to increase capacity through a simple configuration. SOLUTION: An apparatus for controlling intake air amount of internal combustion engine includes a shaft provided rotatably across an intake air passage, a throttle valve fixedly attached to the shaft, a final spur gear 4 fixedly attached to the end of the shaft, a driving motor for applying rotational force to the final spur gear 4, a full-close stopper for determining a full-close position of the throttle valve and a full-open stopper for determining a full-open position of the throttle valve, and a collision portion 11, provided at the final spur gear 4, for stopping the rotation of the final spur gear 4 by causing it to collide the full-close stopper, the full-open stopper. The collision portion 11, with a notch portion 14 being formed, has a full-close side collision piece 11a that collides the full-close stopper to undergo elastic deformation and a full-open side collision piece 11b that collides the full-open stopper to undergo elastic deformation.
