The method involves converting object data representing an object (1) in a three-dimensional form, into a stack of layer data sets, which represent two dimensional data matrices. Information for the conversion of a layer composition method is assigned to the data sets. A hollow structure in the form of a channel structure (2) is provided in the object. The structure is produced by computed operations at the individual data matrix. An independent claim is also included for a device for executing a method of generating layer data.
