<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device providing high NOx reduction rate from a relatively low temperature zone by an NOx absorber not using noble metal or an NOx absorber using a little amount of noble metal such as platinum without using a NOx storage reduction catalyst using platinum. <P>SOLUTION: This device is provided with an oxidation catalyst 5 equipped in a middle of an exhaust pipe 4, a pair of NOx absorbers 6 equipped in parallel in a middle of an exhaust pipe 4 in a downstream side of the oxidation catalyst 5, an exhaust open and close valve 7 distributing exhaust gas 3 to one of the NOx absorbers 6, a heating means 19 heating the NOx absorber in a side in which exhaust gas 3 is dammed by the exhaust open and close valve 7, and an NOx collection pipe 21 introducing NOx desorbed from the NOx absorber 6 in a side heated by the heating means 19 to an intake pipe 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
