<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover hardware, in advance, for an obstacle occurring in the cache of an SMP (symmetric parallel) computer system. <P>SOLUTION: A cache line or a set, having defects, is deleted using array built-in self-test logic, together with the codes and hardware, a corresponding fuse repair value is distinguished, and call home is conducted by foreseeing the future, when a spare fuse cannot be used. Soft fuse repairing is scheduled, to restart the next system, line deletion is scheduled at the next restart time, deletion and fuse repair are stored in a table, and call home is conducted, when there is a missing part, deletion that has not been logged recording. Fuse information can be stored eternally in a hardware electronic fuse or EPROM, and previous repair can be applied to a computer so that ABIST operates in success, during restart and previous deletion related to inspection, can be maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
