PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lower the running cost by transforming a color image into a monochromatic image after it is transmitted and printing the monochromatic image on a report. SOLUTION: When a destination is registered, setting of color or monochrome at the time of outputting a report is registered and then a decision is made whether output of report has been set or not at the time of color image transmission (S31). If it has not been set, setting of the system is followed (S32) otherwise a decision is made whether output of report is set with color or not (S33).
