PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact shake correcting device for a camera capable of exactly correcting shake with simple constitution, and portable electronic equipment with a camera using the same. SOLUTION: The shake correcting device is equipped with: a reflection member 11 which reflects the optical axis of the optical system of the camera; a shake correcting device base for a camera 16 which supports the reflection member 11 to freely tilt; a driving part 17 which tilts the reflection member 11 centering a supporting point at which the shake correcting device base for the camera 16 supports the reflection member 11; an elastic member 18 which imparts pressure to the reflection member 11 in the tilting direction of the reflection member 11; and a detection part 20 which detects the deformation amount of the elastic member 18. Based on the deformation amount of the elastic member 18 detected by the detection part 20, a control part controls the driving part 17, whereby the reflection member 11 is tilted to the shake of the camera so as to perform shake correction.
