PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating shelf device in a charnel in which a rotating shelf in a suspended state is installed by eliminating a table for supporting the rotating shelf. SOLUTION: A suspension bolt is suspendedly fitted to the ceiling of the charnel, and a pivotally supporting base plate used as a base for supporting the rotating shelf is horizontally fixed to the lower end of the suspension bolt. A rotating base plate locked to the rotating shelf is installed on the pivotally supporting base plate so as to be rotated about the suspension bolt, and a fixing means stopping the rotation of the rotating base plate is installed on the pivotally supporting base plate. Cinerary urns are put mainly on the rotating shelf though, when the number of cinerary urns placed thereon is large, they may be put on a floor surface. Accordingly, not only the cinerary urns can be easily arranged by rotating the rotating shelf but also an area on the floor surface can be widely used since the rotating shelf device is not put on the floor surface. Furthermore, when a hole for returning remains to the ground is formed in the floor surface, a cover can be easily removed. In addition, normally the rotation of the rotating shelf is stopped by the fixing means to maintain the rotating shelf in a locked stable state. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
