A leaf for a door or window with two separate parallel panels is disclosed. The panels are retained around the edge by a support profile forming a support frame essentially lying between the panels and connecting the same. The leaf is pivotably mounted on a fixed support construction by means of at least one hinge fitting. The hinge fitting comprises a fitting section which may be fixed in a housing region of the support profile. The fitting section of the hinge fitting passes through a recess in one of the panels which has an embodiment larger than the fixing section. The fixing section of the hinge fitting may be fixed to the support profile with a non-positive fit by means of a screw connection, whereby the screw connection may be made from a front face of the leaf.
