<p>A plurality of containers (100) of blood plasma are supported on a platform (12) of an electric machine (10). The machine (10) drives the platform (12) and thus the containers (100) to move in a non-circular path having at least three non-colinear points. This motion causes agitation of the blood platelets. The configuration of the path of motion and the average effective linear speed can be varied from batch to batch or dynamically for any particular batch. The possible configuration of paths include a figure eight, clover leaf pattern, and stars having a plurality of vertices.</p> |
