<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an optical memory which can correctly and simply separate the stamper from the resin. <P>SOLUTION: The optical memory composed of a core layer and a clad layer stacked together and an uneven section 8 between them to reproduce information is manufactured by sequentially performing a coating process, a first irradiation process, a coating process, a stamper attaching process, a second irradiation process, a stamper separation process in this order on the resin layer 5a formed on a glass substrate 20. The light transmissive stamper 23 is flexible and its surface 23a having an uneven pattern 23b is larger than the resin layer 5a. When attaching the stamper 23 to the surface of the coated UV curing resin in the stamper attaching process, the fringe 23c of the stamper 23 is not adhered and extended to the outside.
