<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-sensitive resin composition which is suitably used for simultaneously forming protrusions and spacers of a vertical alignment liquid crystal display element, the protrusions and the spacers formed thereof, and a liquid crystal display element equipped with them. <P>SOLUTION: The radiation-sensitive resin composition for simultaneously forming the protrusions, or the protrusions and the spacers, for the vertical alignment liquid crystal display element is characterized by containing: (A) a polymer which has a carboxyl group and an epoxy group, and of which the ratio (Mw/Mn) of the weight average molecular weight (Mw) in terms of polystyrene to the number average molecular weight (Mn) in terms of polystyrene measured with gel permeation chromatography is 1.7 or less; and (B) a 1,2-quinone diazide compound. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
