<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet feeding device capable of controlling accurately the sheet front edge attaining a register roller while the device construction is made small. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet feeding device is equipped with the register roller, a feed roller, a carrying path connecting the feed roller to the register roller and fitted with a member to give a carrying force to each sheet, a sensor installed on the carrying path in the neighborhood of the register roller and sensing passage of the sheet edges in the carrying direction, and a control part to clock the time from when the sensor sensed passage of the sheet rear edge to when the sensor senses passage of the front edge to be fed next to an image formation part, drop the rotating speed of the feed roller in case the clocked time is shorter than the prescribed time, and raise the rotating speed in case the time is longer than the prescribed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
