PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device using a surface light emission laser wherein loss of optical beam in a main direction which is essentially required is reduced, deflection dependency of permeability and reflectance of an optical deflector and an optical element is not generated and miniaturization is realized. SOLUTION: A scattering optical beam emitted from a surface light emission laser 101 is usually emitted in an optical axial direction (the direction of a solid line). When optical amount control is carried out, the optical path is switched to a return mirror 108 side (the direction of a dashed line) by an optical path change means 107, and the light amount is detected by an optical detector 103.
