PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus theft preventing system protecting security, and preventing improper selling by stopping activation of a target, structurally disabling removal of a storing part, erasing data of the storing part, and disconnecting communication with an external apparatus unless there is authentication and authorization between a controller and the target. SOLUTION: The apparatus theft preventing system is realized by a controller authenticating an apparatus by carrying out short-range radio communication between a target apparatus and a controller apparatus, and detecting whether it is within a set range, or it is communicable, the target carrying out the radio communication with the controller and controlling operation of the apparatus and a mechanism system, and as a composition of the target, a system block carrying out operation of the apparatus, storage of data, and communication control with an external apparatus, an authentication lock control block detecting communication failure to carry out lock control of the system block, authentication of the apparatus, and authentication of an owner, and a power source block managing power sources of the system block and the authentication lock control block.
