PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a styrene-based copolymer modified with a rubber having high gloss and impact resistance. SOLUTION: The styrene-based copolymer modified with a rubber comprises 65-95% by weight of a styrene copolymer or a copolymer of styrene and acrylonitrile as a continuous phase, and 5-35% by weight of a styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber as a dispersed phase wherein (a) the styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber has an S-B type block of a styrene chain (S) and butadiene chain (B), a styrene units content of 30-50%, viscosity at 25°C of 5 wt% styrene solution of 2-40 cP and a bond of 1,2-vinyl of 5-35 mol% in the micro-structure of the butadiene chain and wherein (b) an average particle size (d 50 value) of the dispersed particles of the above styrene-butadiene copolymer rubber is 0.05-0.8μm.
