PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyvinyl alcohol-based film excellent in solubility in cold water, heat sealability (heat seal strength, solubility of the heat-sealed part), chemical resistance and flexibility after long term storage. SOLUTION: This polyvinyl alcohol-based film comprises a resin composition containing a polyvinyl alcohol-based resin (A) having a 1,2-glycol bond on the side chain and a degree of saponification of 85-97 mol%, and a polyhydric alcohol (B), and dissolves in water of 20°C within 3 minutes.
