PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet head manufacturing method according to which projections for protecting an opening edge and a peripheral area of each nozzle hole are easily formed without using a cover plate, an adhesive for bonding the cover plate, or the like, and to provide an inkjet head. SOLUTION: According to the inkjet head manufacturing method, a synthetic resin substrate 1 of the inkjet head is formed such that one surface thereof is connected to a channel forming plate 4, an ink repellent film 2 is laminated on the other surface and the nozzle holes N are perforated in the other surface. Then the substrate thus formed is hot-pressed by using a mold 7 in order to form the projections 31, 31, and recessed grooves 32, 32 on the one surface of the substrate 1. The projections 31, 31 are opposed to each other on both sides of a location at which each nozzle hole N is formed, across a suitable interval. Each of the recessed grooves 32, 32 adjoins to the projections 31 on one side of the projection opposite to the location at which the nozzle hole N is formed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
