PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide WC-based cemented carbide member which has high hardness and wear resistance responding to a workpiece showing high hardness and difficult machinability in addition to high toughness and breakage resistance which microparticle cemented carbide has. SOLUTION: The mean particle diameter of WC is 0.8μm or less, and the WC-based cemented carbide is composed of Co of 4 to 11 wt%, Cr of 0.3 to 1.0 wt%, V of 0.2 to 0.5 wt%, and the balance of WC and unavoidable impurities. The WC-based cemented carbide has a bonding phase mainly comprising Co, a carbide phase mainly comprising WC, and a double carbide phase (VxWyCrz) C comprising V, W, and Cr. The metallic composition of the double carbide phase is composed of 20≤X≤70, 20≤Y≤70, 1≤Z≤30, and X+Y+Z=100 wt%. In the W-based cemented carbide member, the double carbide phase exists adjacently to the carbide phase or adjacently to the bonding phase or the carbide phase, the mean particle diameter is 0.8μm or less, and the area ratio M (%) is 0<M<0.5.
