A seal member of a ball screw device capable of preventing a lubricant from leaking to the outside of a nut member through a clearance between the seal member and the nut member in the seal member sealing between the nut member and a screw shaft while coming into surface contact with the screw shaft. The seal member is used for the ball screw device in which the screw shaft is threaded with the nut member through balls, stored in a mounting groove formed at the axial end face of the nut member so as to surround the screw shaft, brought into surface contact with the outer peripheral surface of the screw shaft, and seals the clearance between the nut member and the screw shaft. The seal member is formed in a ring shape so as to be stored in the mounting groove of the nut member. Also, a plurality of projected lines extending in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer peripheral surface of the seal member, and the projected lines face the inner peripheral surface of the mounting groove of the nut member to form a minute orifice.
