<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that performs authentication and accounting by exchanging information by using power-line carrier communication. <P>SOLUTION: A battery unit 10 having a battery 17 that feeds power to an electric automobile and a charging device 20 that feeds power to the battery 17 are connected by a power cable 16, and a charge control part 21 in the charging device 20 starts a power supply part 25 when the power cable 16 of the battery unit 10 is inserted into the charging device 20, and feeds power to the battery unit 10, receives customer information, and authenticates it with the power cable as a medium by the power-line carrier communication from the battery unit 10.
