PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for controlling electric current-carrying for an electric fusion-bonding joint which can simply and safely connect a power source cable to various electric fusion-bonding joints with different shapes. SOLUTION: A connector 4 has two electrodes 7 and 8 of different kinds. The electrodes 7 and 8 are symmetrically arranged on both sides placing a connector main body 4a between them. Electrode guard bars 10 are slidably arranged in the female electrodes 7 and 8. When the electrode 7 is inserted into a male electrode part 11 of a terminal 51 of the electric fusion-bonding joint 21, the electrode guard bar 10 pushed by the electrode 11 closes the inside of the electrode 8 on the opposite side, to prevent a human body or the like from coming into direct contact with the electrode 8 and receiving an electric shock or the like.
