PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide module with a positioning means independent of forming accuracy of a socket and an interposer, in which module a precise optical coupling is formed at a low cost, and to provide a photoelectric converter and optical waveguide member used as components of the optical waveguide module. SOLUTION: A base glass 11 for reinforcement is connected to the light emitting or incident face of an element substrate 7 on which an optical element 4 serving as a light emitting element or a light receiving element is formed, and a glass substrate 12 is connected to the base glass 11. A lens part 13 is provided on the glass substrate 12. An optical waveguide 20 is composed of a core 21 serving as a light guide, an upper clad 22 and a lower clad 23. A reflection face 24 tilted by 45°is formed on the end face of the core 21, and a lens part 25 is provided on the upper clad 22 in the vicinity of the end face 24. A projected part (pin) 31 serving as the positioning means is provided on the glass substrate 12, a recessed part 32 is provided on the upper clad 22 of the optical waveguide 20, and the optical element 4 and the optical waveguide core 21 are optically coupled by engaging both recessed and projected parts.
