PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk array device, in which data of a logical disk constituted in RAID is never broken even if two or more of HDDs constituting the RAID are simultaneously broken. SOLUTION: This device comprises a means constituting a plurality of RAIDs 1, a means generating logical disks 1-4 (11-14) within the RAID1, a means recording parity data generated from data of the logical disks 1-4 to a parity disk (16), a means generating, in the event of simultaneous breakage of a plurality of HDD1 to HDD9, the data of broken logical disks 1-4 based on data of normal RAID1 and the parity data recorded in the parity disk (16).
