PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a constant voltage power supply circuit, and a method for inspecting the constant voltage power supply circuit, realizing accurate measurement of a maximum load current (imax) and a short circuit current (is) by adding a simple circuit. SOLUTION: When an externally input first test signal ST1 becomes active, the operation of an operational amplifier circuit A2 is halted, causing the output end of the operational amplifier circuit A2 becoming to a high level and a PMOS transistor M7 turning to OFF, and the operation of a second overcurrent protection circuit 4 is halted so as not to affect the gate voltage of an output voltage control transistor M1 at all.
