PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide color photosensitive material in which always stable white ground characteristics can be obtained and white stability is superior even when the amount of a replenisher to replenish is greatly reduced. SOLUTION: The processing method for the silver halide photosensitive material in which the silver halide photosensitive material having been exposed is processed through at least a coloring development stage, a bleaching fixation stage, and a washing stage or stabilization stage is characterized in that a washing tank or stabilizing tank constituting the washing stage or stabilization stage is a multistage counter-flow type comprising three or more layers and at least one of the washing tank and stabilizing tank has an ozone generating device to generate ozonized air bubbles in the washing tank or stabilizing tank for processing.
