Preferred Features: The guiding elements move together with the roller axle of the flattening roller (7), preferably parallel to it, during closing of the flattening gap. The guiding elements have guiding surfaces which have a constant distance to the roller axle of the flattening roller over the width of the roller during closing of the gap. The guiding elements are made from a plastic material.
