A speaker includes a frame (6) coupling a magnetic circuit (5), a diaphragm (8) having a center portion connected to a voice coil (7) and an outer circumference connected to the frame (6) via a first edge (8A), and a diaphragm guide (9) having an inner circumference connected to the rear surface of the diaphragm (8) and an outer circumference connected to the frame (6) via a second edge (9B). A connected portion (9A) of the inner circumference of the diaphragm guide (9) connected to the rear surface of the diaphragm (8) is arranged at an inner side as compared to the intersection (8B) with the diaphragm (8) positioned on the extension of the outer circumference of the diaphragm guide (9). This reduces the affect of resonance of the second edge (9B) given to the diaphragm (8). Accordingly, no dip is caused in the frequency characteristic and it is possible to obtain a speaker of an excellent performance.
