<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vinylphenol polymer or vinylnaphthol polymer, in which pre-treatment and post-treatment processes such as a purification process are simplified as much as possible and by which the vinylphenol polymer or vinylnaphthol polymer having high transparency, excellent heat resistance and a small metal content can be produced, and to provide the vinylphenol polymer or vinylnaphthol polymer having the high transparency, excellent heat resistance and small metal content. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the vinylphenol polymer (P1) or vinylnaphthol polymer (P2) comprises a process for polymerizing a monomer component comprising at least one monomer selected from a vinylphenol monomer (B), a vinylphenol monomer derivatives (B1) and a vinylnaphthol monomer (B2) in a compressible fluid (A) to obtain the polymer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
