PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display method for displaying only an image including a desired object photographed out of a plurality of images which are saved. SOLUTION: An image recognition/search part 60 which receives an instruction through a CPU 20 by depressing an image recognition processing button 69 of a camera operation part 62, performs the image recognition processing at first for digital images stored in a memory 36. By the processing, objects which are photographed in the digital image data and its number are added to the image data as tag information. Next, the image recognition/search part 60 detects only image data which suit search conditions by referring tag information of the image data with tag stored in the memory 36 by inputting search conditions, i.e., kinds and number of the object from a search condition input button 73 of the camera operation part 62, and displays on an LCD 54 as a thumbnail image.
