TRUING GRINDING WHEEL AND TRUING METHOD USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a truing grinding wheel and a truing method using it suitably correcting a cutting edge formed on the outer periphery of a ring-like sharpened-edge grinding wheel. SOLUTION: In this truing grinding wheel for correcting the shape of the cutting edge 2b formed on the outer periphery of the ring-like sharpened-edge grinding wheel 2, the surface 1c of the truing grinding wheel 1 is formed with a plurality of projecting parts 1d formed extending in the linear direction in a plan view to the surface 1c and having flat projecting end faces 1f. Each projecting part 1d is formed so that the width Y of the projecting end face 1f ranges from 60 to 120% of the thickness of the cutting edge 2b in the sharpened-edge grinding wheel 2, and the width Z of a recessed groove li demarcated between the adjacent projecting parts 1d is 30μm or more.
