PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thin casting excellent in the surface flatness. SOLUTION: A mold obtained from spherical molding sand made by a flame-fusion method, is heated at the surface temperature of 60-250°C and molten metal is poured to produce the casting having thin portion of≤6 mm.
