The invention relates to a method and machine for the automatic packing of pillows using a coil of plastic tubing. The inventive method comprises the following steps consisting in: forming a bag from a coil of plastic tubing, partially compacting the pillow in order to insert same into the bag, compacting the pillow inside the bag and sealing the free end of the bag. The inventive machine comprises a frame containing a mounted pillow-supply and conveyor station, a station for forming bags from the coil of plastic tubing, a carriage, a conveyor table, a station for compacting and sealing the bag containing the pillow and a control system.
