<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of reducing a variation in the power generation distribution. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 100 incorporates a single cell wherein conductive material layers (3b, 3c, 2a, and 2b) and a separator (1) are laminated in sequence on both side of an electrolyte layer (3a). One side of the conductive material layers (3b and 2a) is characterized by larger layer thickness or density in its peripheral section as compared with that in its center section. In this case, on one side of the conductive material layers (3b and 2a), the layer thickness or density in its center section is larger than that in its peripheral section. Therefore, one side of the conductive material layers (3b and 2a) changes the shape easily corresponding to the transformation of the separator (1), thereby reducing a variation in the power generation distribution of the fuel cell 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
