<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke device which utters voices of "what is the matter with you" or the like automatically when a singer forgets words and a melody, and the singer is blocked in singing. <P>SOLUTION: In the karaoke device, phrases for song are detected from performance data of MIDI data from a MIDI data storage part 2. The presence or absence of the singing sound of the singer, which is inputted from a microphone 11 is detected in a singing sound detecting part 8.
