<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology whereby the effect of photographing under a set exposure condition can be confirmed before the photographing. <P>SOLUTION: Upon the receipt of setting information of the exposure condition via an entry section 31, a camera section 14 of a photographing apparatus 1 carries out tentative photographing according to the setting information of the exposure condition. An image processing section 17 applies reduction processing to a photographed image obtained by the tentative photographing and a preview image is generated. Then a display section 12 displays a display picture for a through-image.
