<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting device that can be manufactured in low cost and excellent in maintenance ability by reducing the number of components and work steps. <P>SOLUTION: A linear light sources 6 is arranged by fitting a pin 11 of a lower flame 2 in each holes 17 of a heat dissipating plate 16, a reflector 15, a light conductor plate 12, a diffusion plate 13, and a lens 14 in this order to positioning. An upper flame 1 is positioned by fitting the pin 11 of the lower flame 2 in the hole 17 of the upper flame 1, and fixed by engaging the projection 3 of the upper flame 1 with the recess 10 of the lower flame 2. The linear light source 6 is fixed by engaging them with a projection 3 of the upper flame 1 and a recess 10 of the lower flame 2. The harness 9 of the linear light source 6 is inserted into the slit 7 of the upper flame 1 to fix the harness with a stopper 8.
