PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver halide color photosensitive material excellent in white background stability and the color tone stability of a black image after long-term storage, and a dot area image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: The silver halide color photosensitive material has at least one each of yellow, magenta and cyan developing photosensitive silver halide emulsion layers on a reflective support, wherein at least one of the constituent layers contains bismuth trioxide.
