PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger to which a drying agent can be easily attached. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger 1 is provided with a condensing part 2, a supercooling part 3, and a gas/liquid separation part 4 arranged between the condensing part 2 and the supercooling part 3. A drying agent attachment member 28 working also as an outlet side joint member is fixed across first headers 21 and 15 of the gas/liquid separation part 4 and the supercooling part 3. A refrigerant passage 32 communicating with a refrigerant outlet 31 formed on the first header 15 of the supercooling part 3 and a through hole 33 allowing the refrigerant passage 32 to communicate with an insertion hole 29 of the first header 21 of the gas/liquid separation part 4 are formed on the drying agent attachment member 28. A through retaining container insertion part 34 is formed by a part of the refrigerant passage 32 and the through hole 33. A retaining container 24 storing the drying agent 25 is inserted into a liquid receiving pipe 23 of the gas/liquid separation part 4 from an outer end aperture of the refrigerant passage 32 through the retaining container insertion part 34 and the insertion hole 29.
