PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human body supporting mechanism capable of suppressing the distortion of the pelvis without giving a sitting person discomfort. SOLUTION: This human body supporting mechanism is characterized in having first elastic members 11 disposed obliquely rearward right/left coxal bones 21 and 231 of the sitting person respectively and pushed by the lumbar region of the sitting person to generate a stress resisting to a displacing force of the right/left coxal bones 21 and 21; and a retaining member 13 retaining the disposition of the first elastic members 11.
