The invention relates to a refrigerated or heated transportable insulated container (1) comprising heating means or cooling means and a hermetic chamber (2). According to the invention, the temperature inside the chamber is maintained with the aid of the aforementioned means for heating or cooling the air being circulated through a circuit under the action of venting means from said heating or cooling means towards the interior of the chamber (2). The invention is characterised in that the heating means and the cooling means are removably and reversibly mounted in relation to the chamber (1) of the container (1), such that the container (1) can be arranged either to connect the heating means or the cooling means to the air circulation circuit, in order to heat or cool the interior of the chamber (2).
