A driving device of a plasma display panel with improved gate current characteristic is provided to restrict heat generation by reducing gate resistance value by connecting gate resistance and gate inductor to a gate input stage of a switching element in series. A driving device for displaying an image on a plasma display panel having multiple scan electrode lines, multiple sustain electrode lines, and multiple address electrode lines includes at least one switching element(201) having a gate terminal, a drain terminal, and a source terminal; at least one gate driver generating a signal for driving the switching element according to a predetermined timing based on the driving waveform and transmitting the signal to the gate terminal; at least one gate resistance(203) installed on a driving signal transfer path between the gate driver and the gate terminal to restrict input current of the gate terminal; and at least one gate inductor(205) installed on the driving signal transfer path to restrict the sudden change of the input current of the gate terminal.
