<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device for an elevator capable of reducing brake hitting noise without delaying action when releasing brake and without controlling to gradually increase the coil current when applying brake. <P>SOLUTION: In this brake control device for an elevator, a coil current exciting circuit 15 is structured of a coil current instructing means 24 for instructing the current flowing to an exciting coil, a current detecting means 25 for detecting the current of the exciting coil, and a coil current control means 26 for controlling the current of the exciting coil by inputting an instruction value of the coil current instructing means 24 and a detection value of the current detecting means 25. When releasing brake, the coil current instructing means gives a coil current instruction step by step, and gives a command to reduce the coil current to the holding current to maintain release of brake. When braking, the coil current instructing means gives an instruction to hold the coil current for holding a movable piece or a braking piece at a position on the way from a position near a displacement starting position to a position, in which the movable piece or the brake piece is to be brought in contact with a brake drum, to gradually reduce the coil current. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
