<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling support device for a vehicle capable of starting traveling support control in response to the intention of a driver. <P>SOLUTION: The driver arbitrarily adjusts a start threshold, by which it is determined whether the traveling support control is started or not, by providing a start threshold adjusting device 11. When the start threshold is adjusted, the start threshold is made to be the one corresponding to the intention of the driver and also to be a safety margin in response to the will of the driver. That is, the occasion is prevented where the request of the driver is not satisfied, e.g., a vehicle traveling speed cannot be increased though the driver wants to increase the speed or becomes too fast though the driver wants to secure safety. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
