PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of forming a satisfactory image by reducing variation in magnification of an optical system caused by rise in temperature inside an optical scanner. SOLUTION: A polygon mirror 28 is rotated at a predetermined speed in the direction of an arrow R. In the ongoing direction of a light beam LB reflected by the polygon mirror 28, a 1st scan lens 32 and a 2nd scan lens 33 are located. The scanning speed at the time of emitting the light beam LB to a photoreceptor drum 14 is equalized by the 1st scan lens 32, and an image forming spot is focused on the circumferential surface of the photoreceptor drum 14 by the 2nd scan lens 33. On a substrate part 34, a drive control IC 42 for controlling to drive a polygon motor 30 is located downstream from the 1st scan lens 32 in the rotational direction R of the polygon mirror 28.
