PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adhesive applied to an envelope from becoming liquid at the time of fixation. SOLUTION: A controller 19 of an image forming apparatus 10 has a control means of controlling the temperature of a fixing roller 41 according to kinds of recording media set by a normal recording form setting section 34a and an adhesive-flap envelope setting section of a recording form setting section 34. When the adhesive-flap envelope setting section 34b sets an adhesive-flap envelope, the controller 19 performs temperature control so that heating temperature of the fixing roller 41 is below designated temperature between the glass transition point and fusion point of an adhesive applied to the adhesive-flap envelope, prevents the adhesive applied to the envelope from becoming liquid, and enables excellent fixation of toner printed on the envelope.
